Senior Data Consultant  – Sharp Gaming (BetFred) - (October 2020 – August 2021)

Continuation of Project ending in March 2020 due to Covid.

Senior Analyst leading the migration of data across multiple enterprise wide platforms.

Data Analysis, reverse engineering and documenting of multiple source systems.

  • ETL process to de-duplicate and merge multiple customer data sources into a single view.
  • Development of multiple SQL views to support financial and risk reporting.
  • Automated excel extracts connected to SQL server, provided as a method to export data quickly to the finance teams.
  • Power BI reporting dashboard to support project progress reporting.
  • Development of SSIS packages to quickly extract, encrypt and deliver data from a mix of structured/unstructured data sources 
  • Custom SQL server scripts to support KYC/Regulatory reporting requirements.

 

BI Analyst– Yorkshire Housing - (March 2020 – October 2020)

Supporting the local authority through the final phase of a migration from a legacy housing system on premise to Microsoft Dynamics in the cloud.

  • Data analysis creating custom SQL scripts to compare data from source to target systems.
  • Data integration, merging multiple customer outputs into a single reporting view.
  • SQL reporting reviews/SSRS report to identify data quality issues causing errors during migration loads.
  • Redevelopment of existing, problematic data extract tool (vba/excel).

Senior Data Consultant – Betfred (Jan 2019 – March 2020) - Project cancelled due to COVD-19.

Design and delivery of custom extract T-SQL and supporting tactical SQL Server DB structure to support a financial remediation project.

  • SQL Server reporting solution to extract and merge buckets of potentially impacted customers from multiple data platforms across the company.
  • Development of custom SQL Server tracking database to support tracking of customer remediation activities. 
  • Identification and remediation of existing data quality issues including de-duplication of erroneous customer data.
  • Development of single customer view, merging multiple source business keys into a single output. 
  • Development of SSIS export procedures to push remediation data feeds back out to source systems.

 

SQL Server Data Consultant  – Middleware IT Security Audit – Barclays Bank (May 2017 – October 2018)

Lead Analyst providing data analysis and reporting for a greenfield project to develop an estate management database and data warehouse solution. 

  • Data Analysis - data source to business process mapping before development. Full ER model developed alongside cloud infrastructure developers.
  • Design and development of reporting system, SSAS Tabular solution to support tracking of inventory updates. 
  • Design and build of custom SQL reporting views to bridge data from Service Now/Middleware Inventory and CHEF
  • Development of BI dashboards using SSRS/Power BI
  • Regulatory reporting – project tracking dashboard to show server patching progress across the Barclays estate.

 

 

SQL Server Data Consultant - Development Tools Data Warehouse Project - Barclays Bank (Jan 17 – May 17)

Consultancy role alongside Java Remediation Programme (role below) to support with a problematic SQL Server 2012 database. Programme was behind schedule and required support

  • Re-development of existing reporting views.
  • Improvement and rebuild of SSIS Packages to stage load and archive 100+ response csv’s daily 
  • Development of new reporting views to support financial recharging model.
  • Power pivot and SSRS reporting.
  • Fully documented handover of work carried out.

BI Analyst– Java Remediation Programme (Development Tools) - Barclays Bank (July 2016 – May 17)

Redevelopment of existing SQL server reporting solution and ETL process to support a business critical remediation exercise. 

  • Reverse Engineering of existing SQL DB
  • Migration of the existing database from SQL 2008r2 to SQL 2012
  • Migration and rebuild of existing problematic ETL packages (4hour run time) reduced to under 15minutes. Output increased from daily ETL to every 6 hours.
  • Data Quality Identification and monitoring process, using SSIS to generate data quality extracts to individual business units. 
  • Production of Programme level weekly Audit returns via automated SSIS job – exporting raw csv data.
  • Development of Programme performance Dashboard – Audit KPI’s via SSRS
